Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung applauded Taiwan-based Compal Group’s plan to expand operations in Vietnam at an April 10 reception in Hanoi for its Vice President Ray Chen.

The Vietnamese Government is making every effort to further improving the business climate and competitiveness with a view to luring more domestic and foreign investors, Dung told his guest.
He also affirmed the Government’s readiness to back foreign investors, including Compal, in scaling up production and trade while asking Compal to work hand in hand with ministries, agencies and localities to address specific issues and promptly report any difficulties.

Ray Chen, in turn, reveal that a computer assembly plant in northern Vinh Phuc province has been put into stable operation with this year’s export revenue estimated at US$500 million.

He also assured Compal’s desire to expand its manufacturing in Vietnam to elevate export turnover to US$1.5-2 billion per year to meet its higher demand.
