Exhibition captures beauty of Ha Long Bay in the past and at present
May 06 2019

NDO – A photo exhibition capturing the beauty of Ha Long Bay in the past and at present opened in Quang Ninh province on April 25, as part of an event to observe the Ha Long – Quang Ninh Tourism Week 2019.

The exhibition showcases black and white photos featuring the natural beauty, the daily lives and customs of fishermen who lived across the bay in the past. There are also valuable documentary photos recounting President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Ha Long Bay, Titop and Tuan Chau islands.

Works on display also includes coloured photos highlighting the changes in the bay since it was recognised as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 1994. Over the past 25 years, the bay has become a must-see tourist attraction for holiday-makers to Northern Vietnam.

An exciting boat race was staged on the opening of the exhibition, witnessing a competition between two teams from Cua Van and Ba Hang fishing villages.

Visitors at the exhibition, which will run until May 25, can also enjoy beautiful love duet folk singing by local artists.
